FURNITURE DESIGNER
Jobdesk:
- Furniture designers will produce designs for items of furniture and related products. These designs may then be mass produced or made in small batches or as one-off individual pieces.
- You’ll need plenty of creative ideas, good drawing skills and the ability to use computer design software.
- Designer will work alone or alongside colleagues creating concepts and designs that balance innovative design, functional requirements and aesthetic appeal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree majoring Interior Design or Architecture or Product Design
- Working experience would be an advantage
- Teamwork
- Creativity and good drawing skills with strong visual awareness
- Self-motivation, self-discipline and persistence
- Knowledge of computer design software (CAD and Rendering)
- Flexibility and adaptability;
- The ability to work to deadlines;
- A desire to keep up to date with market trends and new ideas;
- Good communication skills.
